Outside the Lines Ministries exists to share the love of Jesus with everyone OUTSIDE THE LINES (walls) of the church, engaging with the community through various Kannapolis North Carolina events.
The purpose of Church in the Park is to create a place of worship in neutral territory where our community can come together to experience Jesus' love through our servanthood, music, and gospel message. The event is co-hosted by Outside the Lines Ministries and area churches to provide a free, family-friendly event at a local park. We serve free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and sometimes ice cream. There is also a kids' zone area with games and activities. The atmosphere is loving, joyous, and kind. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs and join us for a fun, faith-filled day at the park.

Sweet Street is a trunk-or-treat and festival held annually in Downtown Kannapolis to provide a fun and safe, family-friendly event for the children in our community. The event features live music, inflatables, games, tons of candy, and much more! The event was created by Charlie and Rhonda Barber, founders of Outside the Lines Ministries, and is hosted by churches, businesses, and organizations. The event has grown each year, with approximately 1,500 attendees in our first year (2015) and more than 12,000 in 2025. We expect that growth trend to continue as we build the event each year to be better than the previous year. Sweet Street has become a staple in our community - the place to go every year. Participants, guests, sponsors and volunteers return year after year. If you haven't been a part of the event, try it out for yourself. We just know you will love it as well!
