What is “Bears & Prayers”?

A concept created by Charlie Barber, through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, “Bears & Prayers” is an intentional heartfelt ministry to the hurting, sick, needy, and more. These bears can bring help, healing and hope to those who receive them because they are set apart with prayer and are anointed with oil. The bears have no magical power, but there is power in prayer! We believe that this provides an opportunity for the “Bears & Prayers” to make their way into the arms and homes of those who need them. We believe they will touch lives in ways we may never know.

How “Bears & Prayers” works?

When we hear about a need, we send a bear. We pray over and anoint the bear, package it up and send it to the designated recipient.

How can I help?

There are 3 ways you can help!

The first and most important is PRAY. Pray for the program, that it would be blessed and the needs will be met so that it can continue to touch lives.

Next, if you want to sponsor a full-size bear, our current estimated cost is $20/bear. This will enable us to send bears as we hear of those in need. We also have “Backpack Bears”. These are miniature sized bears. Same concept, but small and compact, great for backpacks, purses, gym bags, etc..

And last, you can participate by requesting a bear to be sent to someone you know who needs one.
